Obama Says Some Have `hijacked' Faith

Again, from Drudge.

What a maroon. He is moving further left. There is no question he is a Muslim and a black supremacist to boot. He is trailing Hillary and she must be putting the screws to his money people since he seems to be starting to squeal. He will be lucky to get the VP slot.

"There was even a time when the Christian Coalition determined that its number one legislative priority was tax cuts for the rich," Obama said. "I don't know what Bible they're reading, but it doesn't jibe with my version."

Obama is a member of the United Church of Christ, a church of about 1.2 million members that is considered one the most liberal of the mainline Protestant groups.

Oh yeah, and lest we forget, he wants "people of faith".
Ummm, WHICH people of faith? Recently, at church, the Catholic church I attend for the kids (I am Methodist), the priest spoke on how the death of Pope John Paul brought people together. And he was right. I watched the funeral and the viewing on tv. Although, not a Catholic, I felt a deep loss, and was very moved. And when Cho-whats-his-face murdered all those kids, again, it was Christianity that brought us together, since at the viewing everyone recited all the same prayers regardless of faith. (And then, of course a MUSLIM spoke first at that gathering due to political correctness run amok at Virginia Tech, and the mullahs privately told their followers that the kaffirs deserved what they got).

So, for me at least, I am comforted by Christian (any denomination) prayer, but muslim? No thanks.

So who hijacked what here?

Well, I always said Brian Williams was a jerk

I found this on Drudge.

One of the small indignities of a high-paying television job is rising after getting home from Texas at 3:05 a.m. for a conversation about why your ratings are going south.

Brian Williams dutifully does it, weary voice and all, even if he and NBC can't fully explain why after two years on top his "Nightly News" broadcast has suddenly been eclipsed by ABC and Charles Gibson.
Can't fully explain it? CAN'T FULLY EXPLAIN IT?!?!?!?!?!?!

Where do these people live, in another solar system? How about insulting the troops? Multiple times? So badly, that you received a deluge of comments and had to issue a huge apology, including an mass email to all of us who complained?

Oh! And can we forget THIS?

The leftist bias is palpable,THAT is why you are hemorrhaging viewers.

There. Fixed it for you, you ignoramus. How hard was that?

Trent Lott. Feh.

The Republican whip, Trent Lott of Mississippi, who supports the bill, said: “Talk radio is running America. We have to deal with that problem.”

LBJ: "If I've lost Cronkite, I've lost Middle America."

The more things change, the more they stay the same.

HOW does "talk radio" run America? How exactly does that work? What, does Rush and Sean come to my house and tell me what to do? They TALK. That is all. I tune in. I disagree sometimes and agree sometimes. I don't listen other times. I have a life.

Well, there are efforts to remove Lindsay Graham and I am betting Trent is on his way out too.

'No Drug Smuggler Left Behind!'

President Bush was so buoyed by the warm reception he was given in Albania that he immediately gave all 3 million Albanians American citizenship, provided they learn Spanish. The offer was withdrawn when Bush found out most Albanians haven't broken any U.S. laws.
Enough said.

Although she gets harsh on tv, to read her is to like her. And if you do not like her, you can always fisk her.

This is an Apology??? Akon’s “Sorry” Song to Gwen Stefani

I was one of the people that contacted Verizon and you know, they called back to apologize. The lady I spoke with hadn't seen that disgusting video and didn't want to. She probably had an earful from other customers. She was very pleasant (as was I, I did NOT expect a call, I just sent an email) and they cared a lot about their business and their customers. We chatted briefly, and she might have been rolling her eyes, but she didn't SOUND that way. I think Verizon responded appropriately to their customers. And I will remain a customer now, since they responded so well. The quote:

Why doesn’t anybody wanna take blame

Verizon backed out, disgracing my name
Only you disgraced yourself, Akon. Go away with your three wives.

Iraq surge a failure, top Democrats tell Bush

Iraq surge a failure, top Democrats tell Bush. Not Generals. Not Admirals. Not even a private on the ground, or a cook in the Army or even a water boy in Iraq.

Top DEMOCRATS. Who the heck cares WHAT Harry Reid says?

Maybe, Dennis Miller?

The Gospel of John & Yoko: The Origins of Mad Morality

I found this in the pajamasmedia archives. Emphasis mine throughout. This was such an EXCELLENT piece! Go read the whole thing.
My research has led me to the excerpts from Yoko Ono and John Lennon’s articles published in the 1972 editions of Sundance magazine. Although attributed to John and Yoko jointly, they were written mostly by Yoko who clearly was the one wearing the pants. It should be a required read for everyone who would like to know where their otherwise lazy and cynical leftist opponents get their passionate idealistic convictions from.

Here is a condensed list (the full text is here):

1. A collective hallucination can create objective reality.
2. “The fenceless and doorless world is soon to come.” Obviously it’s a good thing.
3. Middle America is stupid and “afraid of youth and the future.”
4. People work not because they’re glad to have a job but because they’re being bullied into working by the “tyranny and suppression of the capitalists.” (Karl Marx called and left a message).
5. Immature youth are “the aware ones”; traditional education and thought discipline is the enemy.
6. Material reality is evil.
7. “Come together rather than claim independence.”
8. “Feel rather than think.”
9. Immature and irresponsible behavior is a virtue.
10. Possessions are immoral. “Any possession that is more than what you need belongs to someone who needs it.”
11. A worldwide revolution (“progress”) is inevitable, and such a future “cannot be anything but brightness.”
12. To resist the revolution is immoral because it prolongs people’s suffering.
13. A society based on competitiveness and logic produces “hypocrisy, violence, and chaos.”
14. A society based on love rather than reasoning will produce “balance, peace, and contentment.”
15. To remove evil from this world men must be feminized (if you liked this one you will also like “The DaVinci Code” which is a 500-pages-long regurgitation of this very doctrine).

Absurdities may be a good material for rock lyrics, but presented as a life philosophy they are, well, absurd. Nonetheless, in the absence of logic and reason whose use had been abolished by liberal education, this psychobabble has become Holy Scripture of the new “progressive” religion. John’s fame and his unfortunate martyrdom have turned these mind games into unquestionable prophecies. They might as well be called the Gospel of John and Yoko, from which generations of protesters have been religiously drawing their strength and moral fortitude. Can you say, “Imagine no religion?”
I imagine I can WRITE like this one day. Until then, however, I can only copy and paste and hopefully someone else will enjoy his (her?) work.

Changing my vote. Chuck Norris for President

First and foremost, however, my greatest priorities will be to …

Personally smoke out bin Laden by myself and round-house kick him all the way back to America, where my United Fighting Arts Federation will handle the justice issues.

Make all Chuck Norris facts come true (well, not quite all of them – I'm a happily, married man!)

Looking over my campaign promises, I'm sure my liberal friends are even now rejoicing that I'm not really running for president. However, my hope is still out that Newt will jump into the race!
Good for Chuck!

Oh for crying out loud!

Senators this afternoon are hiding behind closed doors, drafting a massive, 400-page amendment that will replace huge chunks of the Bush-Kennedy bill currently being debated. Senate leaders are hoping to use the new substitute amendment to reverse changes made over the last 24-hours they don't like, such as the Cornyn amendment on information sharing and the Dorgan amendment that sunsets the Y guest worker program.
Have they not learned their lesson? Enough is enough on this.

Freedom is Slavery

In the comments, Ypp left a series of thesis/antithesis pairs that highlight the fundamental contradictions inherent in Multiculturalism and political correctness.

I’ve reworded and reorganized them a bit, but the list below is still Ypp’s handiwork.

The Ten Antitheses of Political Correctness

1. Materialism is not about matter, but about suppressing ideas.
2. Communism is not about common wealth, but about depriving people of any personal possessions.
3. Socialism is not about society, but about depriving people of the means of production.
4. Human rights are not personal rights, but collective obligations.
5. Tolerance is not about mutual respect, but about the prohibition of opinions.
6. Multiculturalism is not about cultures, but about the repudiation of nationhood.
7. Energy policy is not about the distribution of energy, but about cutting off energy supplies.
8. Health care is not about health, but about control of our consumption.
9. Family planning is not about families, but about abortions.
10. Self-loathing is not about repentance, but about depriving others of their moral foundation.

Whenever they start by improving something, they finish by depriving people of it.

I cannot add any more.

Obama Wants 'People of Faith'

Sen. Barack Obama has launched a religious outreach web site, the first one among all the Democratic presidential candidates.
Oh my! And then:
According to the Washington Post, former Sen. John Edwards has a "moral leadership" web site, and Sen. Hillary Rodham Clinton will soon have a faith-oriented online presence soon.
I cannot think of two more non-religious people in the country. Obama has established himself as a black supremecist so what is this now from him? I call taqiyya. As for her? Religion? BWHAHAHAHAHA giggle, snort, tee hee. Since when? To be so blatantly obvious just seems so phony. The President, for all his missteps and faults, does not seem phony about his faith. Not one whit. These two couldn't find a true church if Jesus were leading the way Himself.
